How to Apply

Interested faculty members should provide the following information to the Stanton Foundation:

  1. A description of the nuclear security course that they intend to develop and an explanation of how the course is new,
  2. An estimate of how many students will enroll in the new nuclear security course,
  3. Recent reviews of their teaching (supervisor recommendations are useful but not a substitute for student reviews),
  4. An estimated budget that is within the $50,000 limit and includes any payment to their university for administrative costs.

A draft Memorandum of Understanding, which provides some guidance regarding what will be expected from the faculty member once their proposal to develop a new course has been accepted, can be downloaded from the Resource tab. It will be signed by both the Stanton Foundation and the faculty member developing the new nuclear security course. Please submit all material to the program officer at coursedevelopment@thestantonfoundation.org.
