How to Apply

To receive a Fallen K9 Reimbursement Grant, the department must complete a short application process. See steps below.

  • The Department must complete the application, available on the Resources tab within 12 months of the K9's death.
  • The Department must await application acceptance by the Foundation. Determinations will be made within 4 weeks of application submission.
  • The Department must provide a confirmation statement reasonably similar to the one available on the Resources page.
  • The Department must purchase a replacement K9 officer and, if necessary, a bulletproof vest within six months of application acceptance. The Foundation will process the reimbursement within 2 weeks of invoice receipt.
